The Rockford Peaches were a founding member of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League and were part of the league from 1943 to 1954. The team was one of just two teams to play in every AAGPBL season and they were spotlighted in ‘A League of Their Own’.

On January 26, the Chicago Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate the Rockford IceHogs will wear Rockford Peaches-inspired uniforms when they take the ice against the Ontario Reign.

The team is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Rockford Peaches with special jerseys for their annual Pink In The Rink Night.

Throughout the game fans will have a chance to buy raffle tickets and bid on certain special edition jerseys, while other jerseys will be available through an online auction throughout the week. On top of the auction and special jerseys, the team will also dye the ice pink as part of the promotion.

Since 2010, the IceHogs have donated nearly $200,000 to breast cancer research and hope to make a nice donation through this year’s initiative.
