James Reimer earned the nickname ‘Optimus Reim’ during his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs and he’s fully embraced it throughout his NHL career.

After missing some time due to a groin injury, the 29-year-old returned to the Panthers’ active roster earlier this week and he brought a brand new mask along with him.

Designed by mask artist David Gunnarsson, Reimer has decided to bring back Optimus Prime and saved a few locations on his new cage for the character.

Optimus Reim has rocked some awesome and creative masks throughout his eight-year NHL career, but his latest one might be his best one yet.
