After requesting a trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves nearly two months ago, it appears that Jimmy Butler has finally gotten his wish.

The Wolves superstar is off to the Philadelphia 76ers according to reports, with Philly reportedly sending Robert Covington, Dario Saric and Jerryd Bayless along with a second round draft pick. The Wolves will also trade sophomore center Justin Patton.

It’s safe to say that the NBA world was shocked by this trade, which sees the 76ers add another elite player to their core of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. While it appears that the Toronto Raptors and the Boston Celtics were the most widely regarded front-runners in the Eastern Conference, the 76ers are certainly making some noise now.
