If you’ve been following the drama surrounding Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers, then we’re sure you have probably seen this coming as the intensity heats up between the guard and his team.
As Simmons returned to practice this week, it definitely appears that Simmons’ relationship with the team is not looking better, as he was thrown out of practice on Tuesday by head coach Doc Rivers.
First reported by ESPN, Rivers explained that he thought Simmons was being a distraction to the rest of the team, as Simmons refused to participate along with the rest of the team.
Simmons not only faces a one-game suspension following Tuesday’s practice but he has also been fined a hefty, and we mean HEFTY, amount of money due to his reluctance to participate in team activities.
And it’s clear that the entire situation has been a distraction, as teammate Joel Embiid spoke with the media after practice Tuesday to discuss Simmons’ actions.
Yikes.
