Before the 2015/16 season, you wouldn’t have really considered it a possibility that John Scott – an enforcer in the league – would enter the conversation of “legend”. Well, now he sort of has… sort of…

He didn’t get way better at hockey or anything, but he was the subject of a social media stunt. With the All-Star Game having a fan vote to determine team captains, fans took advantage of the flaw and voted in Scott. They chose him solely out of the unlikeliness that he would ever make it there otherwise, having scored only five goals to that point in his career.

He played in the game. He scored two goals. He won All-Star Game MVP. He solidified himself as a legend.

Maybe even a Hall of Famer? He thinks so.

We’re not 100% sure, but we’re thinking Scott may be disappointed in a couple years time.

Scott continues to entertain people with his self-deprecating sense of humour. He also dropped a hilarious tweet during the NHL Draft.

Legend.
