Kyle Turris was traded to the Nashville Predators last month in a three-way deal with the Ottawa Senators and Colorado Avalanche, and many fans were sad to see him go.

Turris also wanted to stay, but with his contract up at the end of the season, he likely needed a new deal if he was going to make it through this year with the team. Ultimately, he felt as though the team and GM wanted to re-sign him, but was quoted as saying he felt it was the owner that didn’t want him.

The owner of the Ottawa Senators, Eugene Melnyk, spoke about these and said he let’s Dorion handle hockey operations and that’s why he pays him the “big bucks”, according to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun. Well, Julie Turris (Kyle’s wife), disagrees.

This is all going on while there are also rumours that Melnyk may sell the team, but Ottawa snapped their five-game losing streak last night, so fans are still looking at the bright side. Everybody needs to relax and take some KarlSensill.
