Say what you will about the shootout in hockey and it not being an ideal way to decide a regular season game, but you can't deny it's brought a lot of creativity to the sport.

From the between-the-legs move to the Datsyukian deke, the shootout has been a breeding ground for creativity that has even trickled into regular gameplay.  The shootout goal you're about to see may not be attempted in a game situation, but it's one of the most unique we've ever seen and it comes from 17-year-old Juuso Aaltonen.

And another angle for your viewing pleasure.
Aaltonen is NHL draft eligible in 2020 and that goal just inspired the next wave of hockey players to continue to push the boundaries of creativity in the shootout.
