Douglas Costa is going to be costing himself.

During Juventus’ game against Sassuolo on Saturday, Costa whipped out a page of Zinedine Zidane’s playbook by head-butting midfielder Federico Di Francesco on the forehand, which he received a yellow for.

Costa wasn’t finished there, as he came face-to-face with Di Francesco moments later. What he did next will disgust you.

Most would’ve assumed Costa would’ve been issued a red for the headbutt, but it took spitting in his opponents’ face (and quite possibly inside his mouth) to warrant the red.

Expect to hear a suspension coming Costa’s way for both acts, including this elbow that happened beforehand as well.

You really wonder what Di Francesco said to him. Whatever it was, it didn’t call for an elbow, headbutt and saliva spat in his face. There’s simply no place for vile acts like that in soccer.
