Welcome to The Show, Kirill Kaprizov!

The debut we were all waiting for came on Thursday night and wow, did the 23-year-old ever deliver! More than five years after getting selected as the 2015 draft’s 135th selection, Kaprizov recorded two assists and the game’s overtime winner, making him the first player in NHL history to have three points plus an OT goal in his debut. Not a bad start, rook!

Guy’s on pace for 168 points… just sayin’!

We can’t say that we’re exactly surprised by the debut when you take into account the Russian’s production over in the KHL. Just last season he scored 33 goals and added 29 assists in just 57 games with CSKA Moscow. The year before that? 30 and 21 in 57.  Minnesota finished 14th in the league in goals (218) so they’ll welcome the offensive upside with open arms.

Get used to this, Wild fans!
