The Ducks got swept handily by the hand of the San Jose Sharks. And when we say handily, we’re talking about to the tune of being outscored 16-4 in the short 4-game series. Obviously this is not the result that any of the Ducks were hoping for, but one Duck seemed to take the loss particularly rough – one that didn’t play.
The veteran Bieksa does have a ton of experience, but he seemed to fall out of favour in Anaheim – particularly after injury concerns. Obviously he would be a little disappointed with the decision to keep him off the ice, as anyone would, but the spiteful comment really isn’t a good look for a player that is on a team with such a strong defensive contingent.
Fans speculate that this could be the end of his tenure with the Ducks, especially considering his contract is officially up.
