The Los Angeles Kings aren’t having the greatest season thus far. Their 33 points in the standings is bringing up the rear in the NHL standings, and overall the team looks like a flat-footed shadow of what it was just a few years ago lifting Stanley’s mug.

Well, if you can’t beat ‘em, at least have some fun with it.

Kings mascot Bailey is known as one of the most fun mascots around the NHL. He’s also one of the most savage. Put those two traits together and you’ve got some funny content.

Funny for almost everyone, that is. Andy Lassner – executive producer of “The Ellen DeGenerous Show” and the Kings guest of honour against the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday – may not have found it quite so funny as the butt of the joke. During the broadcast, a drum-wielding Bailey managed to give Lassner quite a scare while he was on air.
