Most of the major soccer leagues in Europe have been back playing for weeks now and in Italy, there's a tight race for first in Serie A.  Juventus is at the top of the table, but going into the pause and since, Lazio has been hot on their tail.

Tuesday, they had a chance to make up three points on Juventus, but for the second straight outing, they suffered a loss and this one came to Lecce, a team close to relegation.

During the 2-1 loss, frustrations for one Lazio player came to a boiling point.  Defender Patric took a bite out of an opposing player and was shown a red card for his actions.

Wednesday, it was announced that Patric will be banned for 4 games and fined 10,000 Euros.

Lazio now sits 7 points back of Juventus, but they do meet head-to-head one more time before the season ends.
