Brad Marchand is a certified pest. It’s a role he embraces, and a role he has mastered. It’s never fun to play against Marchand (especially in recent years since he’s developed into an elite scorer).
The Columbus Blue Jackets better gear up, they’re about to go on a long ride with one of the league’s best aggitators. The Jackets have just begun a playoff series against Marchand and the Boston Bruins, and it’s already creating sparks. Marchand has taken some backlash for a video that showed Marchand stomping out Atkinson’s stick with his skate blade.
Did Marchand own up to the agitation tactic? Not exactly…

Atkinson on the other hand wasn’t too happy about the antics. He went straight to the ref to say “Hey, look what this guy just did…” After the game, he explained that Marchand owed him some money.
