Marcus Smart is one of those gritty NBAers that would definitely fall under the category of “agitator”. He’s the sort of guy that seems to have a knack for getting under his opponent’s skin, and he certainly managed to get under the skin of a lot of Raptors fans following the Celtics Game 7 win over The North.
Less than an hour after the final buzzer sounded, Smart tweeted out four pictures of Celtics players, himself included, with the caption in all caps, repeating King of the North.
While he may not specifically be calling himself King of the North, it’s certainly a shot at the Raps who famously use “The North” to identify themselves as the only team north of the border.
It’s safe to say Raps fans weren’t happy about this one.
