Get your tissues ready because this moment definitely had us grabbing for ours!

As Patrick Marleau made history Monday evening, becoming the all-time leader in games played in the NHL, the moment was special as he was able to have his family in attendance for the first time this season.

With the San Jose Sharks not allowing fans quite yet, it was pretty much perfect that the Sharks were on the road and taking on the Golden Knights in Vegas, where fans are permitted back into live sporting events.

Following the first whistle, Marleau received an honourable message and celebration within the arena. During that time, Marleau waved to the crowd and hoisted his stick before spotting his wife Christina and sons Landon, Brody, Jagger and Caleb.

After seeing him give his family that special point, we won’t lie...we got a bit teary-eyed.

Following the moment, Christina shared this awesome post to social media showcasing just how proud she was of Patrick and his success both on and off the ice.

What a beautiful moment. Congratulations Patty!
