The Wild Card race in the AL isn't as entertaining as the NL because of how few teams are still truly in contention, but the race should come down to the wire and right now, the Oakland Athletics are right in the hunt.

Sunday, the Athletics won to keep pace in the race (2 games back entering play Tuesday) and Matt Olson drove in both runs in the 2-0 victory.  He also had something happen to him that won't show up in the box score, a lost batting glove on a strikeout.

You don't see that everyday, if ever, especially considering how meticulous baseball players are after every pitch in terms of readjusting their gloves, among other things.
That was Olson's only blemish on an otherwise solid outing and the Athletics will need the 25-year-old to continue raking if they want to make the Wild Card game for a second-straight season.
