The Carolina Hurricanes took a 6-2 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday, and they got a big helping hand from Morgan Geekie in the very first game of his NHL career to come out on top.
Geekie scored not one, but two goals in his debut, also adding an assist for good measure, and his mom was surprised just to get to see his first goal in person in his very first game. In his post-game TV interview, Geekie decided to bring out the whole family.
Morganโs big moment is a big moment for the whole Geekie family. Absolutely adorable.
Geekie has been in the Canes system for a few years, after getting drafted in the third round in 2017. Nobody better than his dad to hand him the puck from his first NHL goal, right?
