Pro hockey players have different ways of spending their offseason. Some choose to hit the ice two times a day while others prefer to take it a little more on the easy side. New Jersey Devils forward Brian Boyle isn’t staying away from the rink, but he doesn’t appear to be going too hard either.

Boyle was recently captured in a beer league game rocking his Devils gear. It looks like the 33-year-old is sticking to defence over the summer and as you’re about to see, he towers over his opponents.

No offseason for Brian Boyle

Talk about a big body presence!

Let’s take a moment and just think about what it would be like to go down the ice on a 2-on-1 against Brian Boyle. Can you imagine what could have been going on in the player with the puck’s head, realizing that he’s facing off against an NHLer? Pretty cool stuff.

Last summer ended on a rough note, as Boyle was diagnosed with Cancer before the regular season. But after defeating the illness (and picking up a Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy), this summer seems to be telling a much different story.
