The New York Mets sit in the basement of the National League East with a 44-63 record going into Saturday’s slate of games.

In what’s been a disappointing season for the team that came into the season with Noah Syndergaard and Jacob deGrom at the front of their rotation, the Mets haven’t given their fans much to cheer about at all.

That’s why an online mental health marketplace is handing out free sessions to Mets fans that feel their team has taken its toll mentally on them. Fans are asked to fill out a form and list their toughest moments they’ve experienced while cheering for the other New York baseball club.

The “lighthearted promotion” is supposed to show just how crucial getting the proper therapy can be. After the Mets were thumped 25-4 by the Washington Nationals earlier this week, UMA Health reached out to struggling Mets fans to come take in a free session.

For a team that looked like it was going to have such a strong season following their 11-1 start, the Mets were hit hard in the injury department, as Jay Bruce, Yoenis Cespedes, Travis d’Arnaud, Juan Lagares, Steven Matz, Rafael Montero, AJ Ramos and David Wright are all currently on the DL.

Too bad that therapy doens't include any physical therapy to help get the team healthy again.
