Coaching Kawhi Leonard was the experience of a lifetime for Nick Nurse but as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

Nurse’s tenure as Kawhi’s bench boss officially came to an end on Friday night when reports revealed the latter will be joining the Los Angeles Clippers on a four-year, $142 million max deal. Though it was brief, the duo demonstrated a strong rapport as the Raptors managed to capture its first championship under both men’s leadership. After discovering Kawhi’s heading back south, Nurse raved about his experience coaching him as a player, but insisted there’s still work to be done…

Ice Cube, on the other hand, wasn’t as warm about the whole thing.

Nurse and Leonard shared some pretty memorable moments over the past season, most notably after the Raptors’ Game 2 loss in the NBA Finals. It’s clear the two were never afraid to hold anything back from other.

If Nurse can manage to win another championship without the Klaw on his roster next season, then he’s going to need a lot more than a ‘Saint Nick’ shrine in downtown Toronto. As for Kawhi, time will tell how he’s acknowledged by the organization.

So #Raptors fans, what do you think?
