Marc Gasol didn't have the best year in Toronto, and after initially seeming to be off to Spain to carry on his career, the centre decdied to return to the NBA. He found quite a bit of interest in the free agency market, and in the end it came down to two teams; returning to the Toronto Raptors, or leaving to join the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Big Spain" chose L.A. on a two-year deal, and immediately slides into a Championship situation with high odds to repeat. While Gasol won't get the 2020 ring with the Lakers, he's only one year removed from winning it all with the Raps. Now deep into his career, the Championship clearly meant the world to Gasol.

You need to look no further than the Championship Parade to understand that. The guy was cutting loose!

The guy is just so fired up to be a champion! Wholesome content. Everybody else was getting a little rowdy for the occasion β€” Norman Powell, Fred VanVleet, Kyle Lowry, everyone β€” but we don’t think anyone was having a time quite like Gasol’s.

That’s what happens when a longtime vet in the league finally gets that elusive ring!
