If you’ve been following the Toronto Raptors for a while, then you’ll be familiar with the role that Pascal Siakam’s late father plays in his son’s NBA journey. Tchamo Siakam passed away in 2014 due to a car crash, and to this day, making dad proud remains a source of motivation for Pascal.

To celebrate Father’s Day, Siakam shared a beautiful depiction of himself and his dad from the artist Casey Bannerman, adding on Twitter, “Doing it for you.”

Doing it for you 🙏🏾 #ripdad

Siakam has spoken in the past about the role that his father had in getting him to play basketball and eventually land a scholarship at New Mexico State. Tragically, Siakam’s dad passed away before he was able to watch his son suit up in the NBA, but upon every accolade he earns — and he already has many in his young career — Pascal continues to do it for dad.
