Patrick Kane had some extremely high praise for fellow American Auston Matthews

Auston Matthews is the future face of USA Hockey.

The 20-year-old is already one of the best players in the league and he's only going to get better, which is great for not only the Leafs, but the country he'll be representing internationally.

Sunday, the 2018 Stars and Stripes Showdown took place and after the game, Patrick Kane had some high praise for Matthews when asked about him.

When you've caught the eye of someone as talented as Kane to the point where he's watching you whenever he can, you know you're doing something right.

Furthermore, you have to think Matthews is going to learn a lot from watching Kane when the two skate together in Tampa Bay and the thought of him taking his game to the next level is extremely exciting.
