Patrik Laine has to be the funnest player in the NHL. It’s basically between him and P.K. Subban at this point (A second-round Jets vs. Preds series could be a lot of fun), but Laine is tough to beat.

Of course he’s always chirping, playing video games and generally just having fun around the rink and last night he was having some fun after scoring his first-ever playoff goal. As he went to do a fly by of the Winnipeg bench, he decided to see if the Minnesota bench wanted to join in on the celebration.

Laine did a fly by at the Minnesota bench after his goal 😂😂

We love to see this kind of fun in playoff series and these are the kinds of things that can really stir things up. The Minnesota vs. Winnipeg series has a lot of potential to be a good rivalry moving forward (They’re actually the closer to each other than any other team).

Other fans seemed to be focused on the celly that Laine does at the Minnesota bench and what that has to do with the rivalry that was forced onto him when he was drafted #2 behind Auston Matthews. Everybody in the Instagram comments is talking about Laine stealing Matthews’ celebration, but he definitely wasn’t the first player to pull this off.
