Professional athletes are regular human beings like the rest of us, but to young children they’re basically living super heroes who they look up to.

Some athletes are well aware of their status and go above and beyond when it comes to giving back to the community or to the fans. Earlier this week at a Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins practice, goalie Emil Larmi spent a moment with a young fan before heading onto the ice and provided the youngster with a memory that will last a lifetime.

Before hitting the ice the 23-year-old Penguins prospect allowed a young fan take some warm-up shots on him and made sure to let the young man score a goal before getting on with his day.

If this interaction doesn’t put a smile on your face we’re not sure what will.
