Rangers coach David Quinn reveals his pump-up music of choice and it may make you laugh

David Quinn is head coach of the New York Rangers, but more importantly for the context of this story, David Quinn is 53 years old.

He’s by no means “old”, but when you think of what music he listens to when he needs to get fired up before a game, you likely don’t think of Eminem. In fact, for a lot of David Quinn’s generation, Eminem would be public enemy number one – he even raps about it.

Alas, Quinn is making a believer out of us! In an interview with Michelle Gingras and Steve Valiquette, Quinn revealed the formally bleach blonde Detroit rapper to be his source of hype ahead of games, to the surprised laughter of the two other call participants.

In a world where we’re trying to tear down the social barriers, this is a welcome light-hearted moment that definitely wins over some brownie points in our books.
