Saquon Barkley is one of the young emerging stars in the NFL. While injuries have somewhat derailed the beginning of his NFL career, nobody is denying his seemingly limitless skill on the field.

Safe to say, Barkley is a very marketable running back. While he could be filling up his bank account with marketing and endorsement cash, he’ll instead be filling up on something else – Bitcoin.

It could be seen as bold to put all that trust into a fluctuating market like Bitcoin, but it’s proved to work for players in the past. Offensive lineman Russell Okung is the most famous example, who decided to invest half of his $13 million salary in Bitcoin.

While we don’t have an exact monetary value for how well it’s paid off, Okung is believed to be one, if not THE highest paid players in the NFL.

Investing in Bitcoin does always open the door for a market crash, but it seems to have developed into a very stable currency. Whether or not Saquon’s investment will pay off remains to be seen, but we’re liking his chances.
