Albert Michnac played his first regular season in North America last year with the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League and he seemed to adapt pretty quickly. In 65 games with the Storm, the Prague, Czech Republic native, finished fifth on the team in goals (15) and assists (24), and tied for fourth in total points (39).

This year, Michnac finds himself in a new city as he’s now a member of the Mississauga Steelheads after the team selected him with the 37th pick in the CHL Import Draft this past summer and he’s off to an even better start with his new club.

The Steelheads went head-to-head with the Saginaw Spirit at the Dow Event Center this past weekend and the 18-year-old kept his hot start rolling.

After picking up the puck at his own blue line, Michnac takes a quick second to look around him and then takes and puts forth a beautiful individual effort for a fantastic goal.

Through his team’s first eight games of the season, Michnac has four goals and a team-high seven assists for a total of 11 points, which also happens to be a team-high. If he keeps this up all year you’ll most likely hear his name called in Dallas at the draft next summer.
