This story is just bananas (first & only banana pun that will be in this story).

We're still not quite sure why the Phoenix Suns have a gorilla for a mascot, but one thing we do know is that the gorilla knows how to come in and save the day. Wednesday night in the 4th quarter of the Suns-Wizards game, the gorilla shocked everyone watching, slip n' sliding his way onto the court during the course of play.

Turns out that it wasn't just part of some strange gag. No, upon closer inspection, if you zoom in you'll see that the gorilla spotted an object on the court and quickly sprang into action to save the day.

So what was the object on the court? A pictured snapped courtside by a photographer clearly shows a drumstick in the back pedaling gorilla's left hand.
