Everyone likes to debate the top NHL logos but what about the ones in the minor league?

With that said, ranking them is a little bit different. The best ones aren’t always the most practical or clean. In this case, the more insane the logo, the more points. That’s how we’ve narrowed down the most underrated ones.

In our opinion, Minor Hockey has the freedom to have some pretty ridiculous logos. While some teams might play it safe like the NHL, we love the teams that take advantage of the opportunity to get creative with what represents them in their league.

Here are 3 of the best logos you may have never known about:

Nashville South Stars

The guitar was a NICE touch.

From 1981 to 1982, Nashville had a minor league hockey team called the South Stars. That's right, these perfect jerseys only lasted one year, unfortunately. The South Stars relocated to become the Virginia Lancers but didn’t bring the jersey’s with them. They should really rethink about bringing them back for old time sake!

Victoria Salsa

Once upon a time the Victoria Grizzlies Junior A hockey team was actually called the Victoria Salsa. Yes, like the food. Would you believe us if we said their first logo was an angry green chili pepper? The name and logo was created because the original owners of the team, the Kowalko family, also owned the Taco Time fast-food franchise in Victoria and guess what? Winnipeg Jets forward Jordie Benn played on the Salsa in 2004-2006 before they changed their name to the Grizzlies in 2007. He is still the franchise leader in points by a defenceman with 114!

Milwuakee Admirals

A fridge playing hockey. Could it be anymore absurd? Let’s just make one thing clear. We’re not hating one bit. We see what they were trying to do there in reference to the Admiral type of fridge and we love it!
