Tuesday night could be a franchising-altering moment for multiple NHL teams depending on how the lottery balls land.

Who do you think will win the #NHLDraftLottery tonight? πŸ‘€

The Avalanche, who own the Senators' first-round pick this year as part of the Matt Duchene trade, have the best odds to land the first pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, but they know better than any team that it's far from a lock at this point.

Back in 2017, the Avs had the best odds in the lottery and fell as far as they could to the 4th pick.  The Devils were the beneficiaries that year moving up to the No. 1 spot and they're doing everything they can (on Twitter) to make it happens again.

The Devils have a "lucky charm" of sorts in Taylor Hall, although he and the rest of the franchise hope they're playing in the playoffs like Colorado rather than being in the lottery at this time next season.
For what it's worth, the Avalanche are doing their best to get the lottery balls on their side, but they seem like they'd be happy with the No. 4 pick based on who they drafted in 2017 at that spot.
