RFA dominos are FINALLY starting to fall in the NHL.  On Monday, the Tampa Bay Lightning re-signed star forward Brayden Point to a three-year, $6.75 AAV deal.
It's a bridge deal for Point, who will be an RFA with arbitration rights when this deal expires and Tampa now goes into the season with one of their best players back in the lineup as opposed to sitting at home still trying to come to terms on a new deal.
Ever since Tampa was shockingly eliminated from the first round of the playoffs by Columbus, signing Point has been their top priority and the team had some fun on Twitter with a video featuring a lot of tweets from fans about when a deal would be completed.
NHL teams are really stepping their game up on social media when it comes to creative ways to announce big signings.  With some noteworthy RFAs still away from their squads, we're excited to see what those franchises have in store once pen hits paper.
