The San Jose Sharks didn’t exactly have a season to remember this year on the ice, but they made a huge difference off the ice even though it was a shortened season with little to no fans in capacity for home games.

San Jose averaged 2.9 goals per game this season and scored a total of 151 goals this season, which means they’ll be donating $151,000 to various local charities through the their charitable program.

Through the team’s Goals for Kids initiative, which was started back in 2014, $1,000 is given to local organizations dedicated to supporting underserved youth and families in the Bay Area for every goal scored during the regular season.

Pretty incredible total to hit considering they only played 56 games this season.
