Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow and the LSU Tigers denied Clemson’s bid for a third national championship in five years, dominating down the stretch of a 42-25 win for their first natty since 2007.
Throwing for five touchdowns against Clemson (not to mention running one in as well), Burrow sets a new record for single-season touchdown passes with 60. He wanted the ring!
This caps a perfect season for LSU. Next, Burrow appears bound for the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL Draft, and no doubt that he’s got people watching with bated breath to see how his professional career will go.
For now, though, he has a national championship to celebrate with his team. The internet was showing all kinds of love for LSU.
