Hockey memorabilia collectors have a new item to check off their bucket list nowadays, although they’ll never be able to own it.

Bobby Orr, perhaps the only player considered in the same realm of greatness as Wayne Gretzky, has an entire hotel room designed to honour his career and the iconic moments in it. As part fo a plan to grow the appeal of a Boston hotel, Orr collaborated with the Ames Boston Hotel to create a new suite on the 14th floor.

The suite includes a replica of Bobby Orr’s jersey retirement rafters, chairs from the old garden, signed pictures of old Boston sports legends, statues of iconic moments in his career and much more. Orr even included some of his own gear such as his Prince of Wales Trophies, a hockey skate sculpture and autographed photos from teammates and other famous friends, like Ted Williams.

With a hockey rink-like design covering the floor and boards being built in around the suite, it’s the perfect place for any hockey or Boston sports fan.

The room is reported to range from approximately $600-$2000, but a portion of the proceeds go towards the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame in Parry Sound.

All we’re hoping is that somewhere in all of this Bobby Orr memorabilia, someone has a copy of this Alpha-Bits box.
