This play from a Double-A game on Thursday night perfectly summed up minor league baseball's slogan. St. Louis' minor league affiliate, the Springfield Cardinals hosted the Midland Rock Hounds Thursday in a 2-1 contest that featured a play so terrible you're going to want to watch it over and over again.

After Cardinals outfielder Randy Arozarena popped up what should've been a pretty straightforward infield fly, the Rock Hounds fielders proceeded to commit a comedy of errors that started with a dropped catch, and ended in Arozarena finishing on third base.

You know why one infielder should signal for the ball? So that everyone else is covering their position in case a catch doesn't get made. The drop was bad, but the meeting at the mound between the infielders who just stood there, out of position, unforgivable.

Actually we take that back. Very forgivable, as it's easily our favourite video of the day and it's only the morning. The play officially went down as an error byu the first baseman, but it was also a nice heads up play on the basepath, too.
