The Penguins are in the thick of the playoff race in the Eastern Conference and if they somehow miss the postseason, it would be the first time they'd be left out of the dance since the 2005/06 season.

With nine games remaining, the Penguins don't have any room for error, especially having lost two in a row entering play Tuesday night and speaking of that game, there was an equipment announcement made ahead of it that most fans absolutely love.

Sunday, the Penguins lost to the Flyers in overtime thanks to two late goals in the third period and overtime.

They've worn their Stadium Series jersey for just two games, both OT losses against the Flyers, and they won't be wearing them again and that's a piece of news Penguins fans were pumped about.
