Ticats fans were chanting for Johnny Football to be put in before the game even started

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Toronto Argos renew their lakeshore rivalry on Friday night, but nobody is talking about the bad blood. That’s because everybody is busy talking about something else, Johnny “Football” Manziel.

Manziel is officially a Hamilton Tiger-Cat as he continues to try and prove his doubters wrong. Heading to the CFL is the logical next step in his hopeful eventual return to the NFL, but for now he’s gracing Tim Hortons field and the city of Hamilton. Needless to say, fans are pretty antsy to see the former college star under centre. So antsy they actually began chanting his name before the game even started.

They likely didn’t have much of an influence on June Jones’ decision to put Johnny Football in, probably starter Jeremiah Masoli’s abysmal effort helped move it along though.
