After 118 years, English Premier League club Tottenham will be leaving White Hart Lane for a brand new 61,000 seat stadium.

Sunday, the club commemorated the occasion by defeating Manchester United 2-1, solidifying their place as the team in North London over their bitter rivals, Arsenal. Before the game, the club kindly asked fans to contain their enthusiasm and not go onto the field at any point during the last-match festivities. Guess what? They didn't listen.

Asking fans to not go onto to the field at White Hart Lane was essentially an invitation. It's an important moment in the club's history, and there was no way that the fans in attendance weren't going to attempt to touch the grass with their own feet just one last time.

Pretty much the mood of Spurs' fans after the club asked them to not "spoil a special day."
