It can be argued that Alex Ovechkin is the greatest goal-scorer in hockey history.  The 33-year-old has scored 611 goals over the course of his career and hasn't scored less than 32 goals in a season in his career.

Ovi is off to another hot start this season with 4 goals in 5 games and he's shown no signs of slowing down, which should help him climb up to 14th on the all-time goal list by the end of the season.

What makes Ovechkin so dangerous is his unbelievable shot and as fun as it is to watch him score, it might be more enjoyable listening (reading) to goalies explain how they try and stop his shot.

If you haven't watched soccer before, check out highlights of the best players in the world (Ronaldo, Messi) and watch how impossible their shots are to stop because of how the ball changes trajectory.

You wouldn't think a puck would change trajectory like a soccer ball, but we'll take Andrei Vasilevskiy's word for it.  Also, the fact that he compared himself to an octopus trying to catch all of Ovi's shots was incredible.

Vasilevskiy won't have to see Ovi and the Capitals for a long time as they don't square off until March, so he'll have more time to try and make himself into an octopus to be prepared for the matchup.
