Every "Best Player in the NHL Right Now" conversation includes Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers. The 23-year-old has the Oilers in a playoff spot and despite the injury that has sidelined him since he last played on February 8th, McDavid still has a chance to record what would be a 4th-consecutive 100-point once he returns.

McDavid not ruling out tomorrow’s game, said it felt good today. Original plan was to test it earlier and see how it felt, that went well so he took full practice and stayed out a while afterwards. Wants to get it to the point where he doesn’t notice it when he skates.

The Oilers are in the midst of a tight Pacific Division playoff race and need McDavid to get back as soon as possible for the final push. While a return date hasn't been set in stone, McDavid is with the team on their California road trip and he's back skating looking better than ever.

That between-the-legs move was unbelievable. No joke, with moves and skill like that, we could literally watch McDavid practice all day long and not get bored in the slightest.

Will McDavid play Friday night? The jury is still out on that so to speak, but it certainly seems like a real possibility and that's music to the ears of Oilers fans everywhere.
