Leaving the team you've spent the majority of your career playing for is never easy.  Wayne Simmonds spent over seven seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers before they dealt him to Nashville ahead of the trade deadline earlier this week.

The 30-year-old had an idea he could be traded and all of his teammates knew it was a possibility, too.  The Stadium Series game the day before the deadline was proof of everyone knowing Simmonds' situation and after scoring the OT winner, Claude Giroux shared a special moment with his former teammate.

"I love you.  Whatever happens, I love you."  All the feels.

Simmonds also shared a special moment with his Flyers teammates in the locker room after the game.

Friendships are bigger than hockey and clearly the bonds Simmonds made in his time in Philly will last a lifetime.
