Rain wasn't the only thing coming down onto the field at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday night.

The city of New York finally got to see the Yankees off-season addition Giancarlo Stanton in action, as the Yankees hosted the Rays. After Monday’s game was postponed due to rain drenching the field at Yankee Stadium, Stanton may’ve wished this one would’ve got postponed, too.

For the first time in his career, Stanton finished a game going 0-for-5 with five strikeouts, and the Yankee faithful that paid money to see him while being drenched in the rain voiced their displeasures with Stanton’s Yankee Stadium debut.

Chris Archer, Austin Pruitt and Sergio Romo managed to get him to strikeout, and on the fifth and final strike out, the Yanks fans let him hear it.

Ouch.

On the other end of the "wow" scale, Didi Gregorius smashed two home runs and drove in eight RBIs to propel the Yankees to an 11-4 win over the Rays.

Yankees fans on Twitter were not pleased with their fellow supporters booing Stanton, so they fired back at them on Twitter.

Welcome to New York, Giancarlo.
