The Grand Rapids Griffins have pretty much steamrolled their way over every opponent they’ve played so far in this season’s AHL playoffs.

The Detroit Red Wings’ AHL affiliate owns a 12-2 postseason record and are just two victories away from capturing the Calder Cup.

With the team doing nothing but winning over the past few weeks, the Griffins faithful and staff are liking their team’s odds and are feeling pretty good right about now. Since there’s been nothing but victory and positive vibes in the air, the Griffins Zamboni driver decided to take advantage of the moment and made a bold move during the second intermission of Game 5 between the Griffins and San Jose Barracuda.

After going around the ice for a few laps, the driver stops directly at centre ice and gets down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend. Thinking she was just out there for a quick ride, it ended up being a life-changing moment and she was all for it.

According to the team, Griffins Zamboni driver Casey met his girlfriend Ashley, a food and beverage staff member, at the rink five years ago, so it truly was the best place for him to propose to her.

The best part about the entire proposal has to be at the very end when she’s soaking it all in and he’s just focusing on finishing his job.
