DeMar DeRozan had the best season of his career last season and he is being rewarded with a video game cover this season.
The cover athlete for the worldwide version has Kyrie Irving on it, but DeRozan’s image will appear on NBA2K’s first ever Canadian edition of the game. After a season in which he finished top-5 in scoring, it was only fitting that he’d become the cover.
Top-5 in league scoring and the NBA 2K18 Canadian cover must mean DeRozan has been given over a 90 rating in the game then, right? The Raptors superstar told @NBA2K he thinks he deserves a 91, which we thoroughly agree with, but it appears the game feels differently.
DeMar seems pretty cool with the decision, but we’re allowed to be outraged on his behalf. To be completely honest, we think DeRozan’s 91 rating prediction is right on the money.
