Madden 18 is set to be released at the end of this month and the fine people over at EA Sports have done a very good job hyping up the game and teasing fans ahead of the official release.

With the game’s release less than a month away, EA Sports unveiled the top five ranked players for each offensive position and some of the rankings might surprise you.

QUARTERBACKS

As expected, Madden 18 cover athlete Tom Brady is the highest ranked player in the game with a 99 overall. Right behind the New England Patriots quarterback is Aaron Rodgers at 98 overall, who is followed up by Matt Ryan (96), Drew Brees (92) and Ben Roethlisberger (91). Only two other quarterbacks in the league enter the game with a 90 overall or higher and those two QBs are Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck.

RUNNING BACKS

There were a lot of great running backs in the NFL last season, but Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell still tops the charts for highest ranked running back in Madden. At 97 overall, Bell has a comfy lead on David Johnson (94) for top ranked running back, and an even nicer lead on LeSean McCoy (92), DeMarco Murray (91) and Ezekiel Elliott (90).

WIDE RECEIVERS

This is probably one of the toughest positions to rank in Madden, but the people over at EA Sports decided to go with Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones as the top ranked receiver with a 98 overall ranking and made Antonio Brown the second ranked receiver at 97 overall. Getting a nice boost this year is A.J. Green, who owns a 94 ranking, and he’s followed up by Odell Beckham Jr. (93) and Dez Bryant (91). There are plenty of other receivers ranked 90 or higher and that list includes DeAndre Hopkins (91), Jordy Nelson (91), Mike Evans (90) and Larry Fitzgerald (90).

TIGHT ENDS

Just like his quarterback, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski leads the way when it comes to highest ranked tight ends. Last year’s cover athlete, Gronk comes in at a whopping 98 overall, and it followed up by Travis Kelce (94), Jimmy Graham (93), Delanie Walker (93) and Greg Olsen (93).

OFFENSIVE LINE

Dallas Cowboys fans are going to love these ratings as three of the Cowboys’ offensive line rank finish in the game’s top five rankings for offensive linemen. However, it’s Baltimore Ravens’ Marshal Yanda who leads the way at 96 overall, and is followed up by Zack Martin (95), Trent Williams (95), Tyron Smith (94) and Travis Frederick (93). Don’t worry, Raiders fans, your offensive line got some love as well with Kelechi Osemele (92 ), Rodney Hudson (90), and Donald Penn (89) finishing in the top 12.

In your opinion, which players do you think deserve to be in the top five rankings and which ones don’t belong there?
