Eddie Lack is one of the more colourful goaltenders in the NHL for his sense of humor and interaction with his fans over the years.

Now with the Calgary Flames after being acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes, Lack will be backing up Mike Smith as the Flames look to stabilize their goaltending in hopes of the better teams in the competitive Pacific division. We’re not sure if Lack will ever get back to his days where he posted a .921 save percentage during the 2014-15 season with the Canucks, but the Swedish goaltender will have a chance to flourish under a stacked Calgary defence core.

Whether Lack performs well or not remains to be up in the air. One thing that’s a given is that Lack will look fantastic, aesthetically, in his new Flames colours.

Earlier on Friday, The 29-year-old showed off his new Flames mask, appropriately filled with fire and the three Swedish crowns known as the Tre Kronor.

Lack has continued his tradition of having the chef from The Muppets’ Swedish Chef, a tradition he’s carried since his days with the Canucks for his love of food, particularly tacos. Yup, Eddie still loves his food.

There’s not too many goalies that look as spiffy as Lack when he’s bundled up in his gear. Calgary is banking that Lack’s amazing set-up is parallel to his on-ice performance this season.
