Minor League Baseball teams are the best in the business when it comes to promotion nights and this weekend is one of the biggest times of the year for them.

Teams got things started on Thursday night with their Star Wars Night uniforms.

Aside from the May 4th being ‘Star Wars Day’, May 5th is Cinco de Mayo and some teams are going all out for the celebration.

The Texas Rangers’ Double-A affiliate Frisco RoughRiders have a special night at the ball park planned for the fans coming out to Friday night’s game.

On top of the festive jerseys, the team is also celebrating Mexican-American culture by changing their name to “Los Jinetes” (The Riders) for Friday’s game when they host the San Antonio Missions.

The players won’t be the only ones in the special edition uniforms as the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a Los Jinetes  jersey T-shirt. Aside from the giveaway, fans will be treated to a Mariachi band performance and fans of legal drinking age can indulge in Mexican beer specials and half-priced margaritas. To cap it all off, the team will end the night with a fireworks show in the stadium.
