The Vegas Golden Knights will make their NHL debut this season and they’ve already done a fantastic job attracting new fans.
Once the team was officially picked, goalie Calvin Pickard decided to have some fun with the fans and put together a contest to give them the chance to design his very first Golden Knights mask.
On Tuesday, the Knights revealed the winning design as they shared Pickard’s mask for the upcoming season their social feeds and it's pretty awesome.
The right side of his mask is a little tribute to the city as his nickname ‘PICKS’ appears on the playing cards, while the left side of the mask is more of a tribute to the team’s name.
Considering this was a mask designed entirely by fans, it’s pretty outstanding.
The concept is king of similar to Marc-Andre Fleury’s Golden Knights mask, with one side representing the city and the other representing the team name, but they are entirely different and both of them are incredible.
