When Kevin Durant signed with the Golden State Warriors, fans and media members were very critical of his decision.

He was called "soft" and "weak" for going to the team that he lost to in the Western Conference Finals in epic fashion.

KD was the butt of cupcake jokes and harsh chants, but after what happened Monday night, none of that matters now because he's finally a champion and a Finals MVP.

Durant's epic performance in the NBA Finals helped the Warriors win their second title in three years and solidify his legacy.

After the win, Nike instantly congratulated KD with a commercial taking aim at all the people who debated his decision to take his talents to the Bay.

 "Debate this."

Whether you hate him or love him, Durant led the way for the Warriors and he'll forever be an NBA champion and Finals MVP.  Those facts can't be debated.

Plus, Warriors fans love him even more for doing what he did before leaving the arena.
